Jaipur is the largest city and capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan, and is located in the northwest of the country. With more than 3 million inhabitants it is the tenth most populous metropolis in the country and is known as the Pink City of India by the large number of buildings of this color that can be seen through its streets. In the past this area was occupied by the Matsya kingdom while the modern city was founded in 1727.

The main economic activities of the city are linked to tourism and its related services, even in the area are also many modern industries among which stand out the sector of the production and export of gold and diamonds.
