Information about Gurgaon

Gurgaon is an Indian city located north of the country, in the state of Haryana and 30 km from the national capital, New Delhi, being one of its satellite cities and forming part of the National Capital Territory. Recognized as a major industrial and financial center, the city has a population of over 1.5 million people and its territory is divided into two distinct parts, the old, congested and underdeveloped, and the new, highly advanced and with skyscrapers.

In relation to tourism in Gurgaon, the city presents important cultural and recreational attractions that attract numerous visitors, not to mention shopping tourism that comes to town to visit its more than 80 shopping malls. Among its natural spaces are the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, the Sohna Lake, the Tau Devilal Biodiversit Park, the Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Energy Park and the Damdama Lake, while the city also offers visitors recreational centers like Leisure Valley Park, the Kingdom of Dreams and 32nd Milestone, religious buildings such as the Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Temple, the Sai Dham Shrine and the Shani Dev Temple, and cultural centers as the Sanskriti Museum of Folk and Tribal Art.
