Thane is an Indian city located in the state of Maharashtra, above the cove of the same name. The city is surrounded by hills as Yeoor and Parsik and is characterized by the presence of about 35 lakes within its boundaries, while its territory is divided into two parts by the creek, which joins the Ulhas River with the Arabian Sea. The city is one of the oldest in the country with over 2,000 years old, while today has a population of about two million inhabitants.
